Community Giving

We are fundraising for two main reasons:

1) We are being proactive in regards to making Choice Pass sustained by and for the community.

2) We are looking to expand current prevention efforts for youth.

To be clear, Choice Pass is NOT losing grant funding and is not going away; however, the pandemic brought to our attention the importance of building a program that is not completely reliant on grants.

Choice Pass works in partnership with youth serving agencies across Gunnison County with the understanding that collaboratively youth's needs can be met and positive change can be made. Prevention is multifaceted with each agency working to support specific needs to create a holistic approach to youth health.

Choice Pass is a free community program that increases access to healthy activities for 6th-12th grade youth who remain substance free. Youth are recognized in the community for making healthy choices. Youth commit to be substance free and parents commit to be there through the difficult time of adolescence. Parents are supported through education and building a community of like-minded adults.

  • Over 10 years of supporting youth and families

  • 600 6th-12th grade youth are enrolled annually in Choice Pass.

  • 350 parents and community members attend education nights on topics related to adolescents

  • 95.5% of Choice Pass youth uphold their commitment by remaining substance free

Individual or business contributions to Choice Pass can support youth’s healthy activity fees, scholarships, programming, and community education. All contributions are tax deductible. Give today to support healthy youth!

The Choice Pass Committee
